Ideal addition to complete your plasma television experience

dscn1137.jpg

An ideal addition to complete your plasma television experience is a great viewing point. Why compromise the experience to save space, especially with the latest craze of TV lifts.

The price of a TV lift mechanism is going to cost you over $1000, which is probably close to what you have paid for the television itself.

Regardless as to whether you decide to build your own TV lift or buy one from another company, it is still important to understand what each part of a TV lift actually does:
1.The electric linear actuators are used to provide the lifting motion that you need to lift the TV up and down. These come with different force capacities. With this in mind, you should know that it is important to know how far you want your TV to be lifted and how much your TV weighs in order to choose the right actuator.
2.Mounting brackets are going to be needed for each end of the linear actuator.
3.Draw guide rails are needed in order to guide your TV up and down. They also provide stability for the entire TV lift system.
4.TV mounting brackets are necessary in order to make sure that the TV is properly mounted to the wall.
5.Remote Controls and power supplies will be used in order to control your linear actuator.
6.A remote control system is necessary for controlling the power supply, the linear actuator and the TV lift itself.
7.Gas springs should be used because they can handle the heavy weight of the TV and thus allows for a much faster up and down movement.

dscn1133.jpg

Now you can see why it is easier to simply purchase TV lifts rather than build on yourself. If you should decide to do this, then you should check out tdkjoinery.co.uk, as their prices are very good for the high quality TV lifts that they sell and they ship worldwide.

Mitsubishi LT-52148 LCD HDTV Review

mitsub2.jpg

Mitsubishi is better known as a rear-projection TV maker than an LCD manufacturer, but given the slow death of the RPTV market the company has ventured into new waters with the 52-inch LT-52148. And while the company has to tweak their LCD technology an little bit, the new 148 series’ pulls off the incorporation of some high-end high-def technology pretty well. The 1080p, 120 Hz LCD set does have some ringing around objects with the default picture presets, excessively bright green tones, a sluggish menu, and power consumption one can’t exactly call “green”, but with an impressive native contrast ratio, HD video handling and an effective 120 Hz refresh rate, the Mitsubishi LT-52148 looks to be the first of many quality flat-panels.
