HP Compaq is back with four new WLED Backlit LCD monitors, the LE1901wl, LA2006x, LA2206x and LA2306x. The HP Compaq LE1901wl is a 19-inch entry-level display with a mercury-free WLED backlit panel, a 16:10 aspect ratio, a VGA input, and a VESA compatibility. The 20-inch LA2006x, 21.5-inch LA2206x and 23-inch LA2306x monitors feature an ergonomically improved slider stand that provides tilt and swivel adjustments as well as a 90-degree pivot. These LCD monitors also feature a full HD resolution, a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a digital DVI port, DisplayPort and a built-in two USB ports. The HP Compaq LA2006x, LA2206x and LA2306x are priced at $209 each, while the HP Compaq LE1901wl retails for $157.

Also Vizio announced today the new XVT, M- and E series LCD HDTVs. In total, there are 31 new HDTV models in these three product ranges. The new XVT series includes both 1080p models with 120Hz and a Thin Line stylish designs; and a 240Hz SPS models with Smooth Motion technology. This series will be available in 32-inch to 55-inch screen sizes.

Vizio’s M series will come with the JAVA design, 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution. The eco E-series will come in 19-inch to 32-inch screen sizes. It will have stylish white or black piano colored bezels and offer 1080p Full HD resolution.

The NEC MultiSync LCD2690W2-BK-SV (26-inch) and LCD3090W-BK-SV (30-inch) displays come bundled with the SpectraView color calibration sensor and software. The company offers the SVII-PRO-KIT as an accessory for select NEC LCD displays and includes the new color measurement sensor and SpectraViewII calibration software. The SVII-PRO-KIT retails for $329. Meanwhile, the SpectraViewII software (SVII-SOFT) is also sold separately at an estimated street price of $104.99. LG has decided to release its W2442PA-BF 24 inch LCD monitor that comes jam packed with 300cd/m2 brightness level, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, Dynamic contraste feature, 2ms response time, 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios supported, 160 to 170 degrees viewing angle, 1 watt speakers, HDMI, DVI-D ports, and VGA port. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability though. So stay tuned for more updates.

Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has rolled out its first USB PC monitor powered by DisplayLink Corp.’s innovative network display technology, that allows notebook users easy access to multi-monitor computing via one USB connection. The 20.1-inch Mitsubishi RDT201WDL wide-format LCD screen offers a USB hub, built-in Ethernet and WSXGA+ (1,680 x 1,050) resolution. The LCD monitor also features the on-screen energy meter and three levels of power usage. The Mitsubishi RDT201WDL is currently available in Japan.

The monitor also features a built-in DVD player and supports 1,650 x 1,050 resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, 5ms response time, HDCP compliant, and supports ASTC, QAM, NTSC integrated tuner. Other features include HDMI 1.3, component and VGA outputs. The ViewSonic N2201W LCD monitor retails for only $429 each.
