SANYO introduces their second-generation LCD waterproof monitor ‘CE52SR1′ integrating revolutionary sun-readable LCD panel and marine grade construction.

This unique LCD monitor is lightweight, runs cooler and uses less electrical power than similarly sized plasma monitors. The CE52SR1 surprisingly makes no compromises on image quality with Full HD resolution and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. Combined with the CE52SR1’s sun-readable feature, it is also ideal for viewing under sunlight with 1500 cd/m2 on-screen brightness.

The CE52SR1 comes equipped with a wide variety of input/output terminals (including DVI-D instead of HDMI) so that you can make full use of the LCD monitor’s colorful, blur-free, high-speed 6.5 ms response time while watching a wide range of real time video signals.

It will be available in October 2008 and have a MSRP price of 13,995(USD).

NEC intros color-accurate 26-inch work LCD

NEC today announced a new 26-inch LCD it targets at the workplace but which is also usable at home. The design is relatively accurate with coverage for 92 percent of the NTSC color gamut and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio in spite of its relative size and a 5ms pixel response time. The professional black bezel also hides downward-firing stereo speakers for users who might not have space for separate speakers. The screen is also unusually flexible for its size and pivots into portrait mode for editing text, code, or viewing large websites, while a four-port USB hub gives it room to hook up most peripherals. A DVI port with HDCP encryption for certain HD movie formats is accompanied by a VGA connector that handles most other video sources.

NEC plans to ship the black-bordered EA261WM in August for $680.

Sony has released a new series of BRAVIA TVs that reduce your power consumption to 89W. This JE1 Series uses fluorescent tubes that provide higher luminance efficiency at lower electric voltage with optical film that gives off a higher light transmission rate. The KDL-32JE1 features a 32-Inch LCD Panel in WXGA Resolution (1366×768 ), HDMI interface, Digital TV Tuner, and a contrast ratio of 2500:1 as well as a view angle of 178 degrees. The KDL-32JE is going for about 900€.

Today LG introduced a two new stretched display monitors in the UK . The 29’’ M2900S-BN has a screen resolution of 1366×480, and 38’’ MS3800S-BN a screen resolution of 1366×398. Both provide a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a response time of 9ms, and feature digital and analogue video input.The M3800S-BN and M2900S-BN have been designed specifically to host large format digital data for public locations.

The M3800S-BN’s impressive 38″ screen and the M2900S-BN’s 29″ screen make these new monitors ideal for exhibiting information in large commercial areas, such as shopping centres and cinemas, and in high footfall locations like airports and train stations.

Both screens have a high picture quality and can display data either horizontally or vertically in large format and full colour.

The M3800S-BN and the M2900S-BN have a screen resolution of 1366 x 398 and 1366 x 480 respectively, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 9 ms (grey-to-grey) response time, digital and analogue video input and PC input via 15-pin D-Sub.

This V2400W is far to have stunning performances (on the paper) but does have a great design.
