Sony has released a new series of BRAVIA TVs that reduce your power consumption to 89W. This JE1 Series uses fluorescent tubes that provide higher luminance efficiency at lower electric voltage with optical film that gives off a higher light transmission rate. The KDL-32JE1 features a 32-Inch LCD Panel in WXGA Resolution (1366×768 ), HDMI interface, Digital TV Tuner, and a contrast ratio of 2500:1 as well as a view angle of 178 degrees. The KDL-32JE is going for about 900€.

ASUS presented its 24-inch wide LCD monitor with built-in video communication facilities during Computex 2008.With the ASUS software ‘LifeFrame2′ users will enjoy amounts of fun with capturing, storing, editing and managing their treasured memories through photos, videos and recorded audio files with ease.

ASUS has since expanded this range to cover the whole scale of sizes from 19-, 22- 24-and 26-inch.

Today LG introduced a two new stretched display monitors in the UK . The 29’’ M2900S-BN has a screen resolution of 1366×480, and 38’’ MS3800S-BN a screen resolution of 1366×398. Both provide a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a response time of 9ms, and feature digital and analogue video input.The M3800S-BN and M2900S-BN have been designed specifically to host large format digital data for public locations.

The M3800S-BN’s impressive 38″ screen and the M2900S-BN’s 29″ screen make these new monitors ideal for exhibiting information in large commercial areas, such as shopping centres and cinemas, and in high footfall locations like airports and train stations.

Both screens have a high picture quality and can display data either horizontally or vertically in large format and full colour.

Mitsubishi is going to launch its 24.1-inch wide monitor ‘VISEO MDT242WG-SB’ in Japan market, which features stylish satin black color.The VISEO monitor supports 1,920*1,200 WUXGA resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 16ms response speed and 500 cd/m² brightness while adopts HDMI and AV slots.

LG Electronics show their LCD TV ‘LG60 Series’ in China market during CHITEC 2008.Equipped with LG’s Intelligent Sensor which automatically adjusts picture settings according to room lighting, the LG60 Series adopts invisible speakers for the simple design.Featuring full HD 1080p resolution the LG60 Series supports 50,000:1 contrast ratio and four HDMI ports. LG has also implemented an energy saving ‘Green EYEQ’ that reduces power consumption by up to 60%.

BenQ released its 24-inch high-end monitor ‘V2400W’ in Japan market, which features 24mm thickness.Sold in Japan for 371€ the new LCD feature an DVI-D HDCP connector as well as an HDMI one and D-SUB one. With a “slim” body (24mm) our LCD has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 250cd/m2.

This V2400W is far to have stunning performances (on the paper) but does have a great design.

LG showcased its broad line of LCD and Plasma TVs at the Hospitality Design Expo 2008 in Las Vegas.

LG’s first Full HD TV ‘42LB5DC’ designed with the hospitality industry in mind, employs MPEG-4 H.264 decoding technology to create an entertainment environment.

Sharp has unveiled no less than twenty-two new LCD TVs, the RX5 Series, GX5 Series, and DS5 Series.

RX5 Series: Available in 65″, 52″ and 46”, with a contrast ratio of 3300:1 and a “living contrast” ratio of 1500:1, providing in total a stunning contrast ratio of 20000:1, and a brightness of 450cd/m2. Our TV is full HD with a new 120Hz panel and 12bit BDE image processor.

GX5 Series: Available in full HD and HD ready with panel size ranging from 26” up to 52”. It also has the 120Hz ASV panel, a contrast ratio to 2000:1, and a brightness of 450cd/m2.

DS5 Series: Three full HD TVs, with sizes ranging from 32″ to 42”, it also features a 2000:1 contrast ratio and a 450cd/m2 brightness, without the 120Mhz panel.

BTC launched its 26-inch multimedia LCD monitor ‘Zeus 8000 260MS Delux’ in Korea market, which features two tone color with high-gloss finish.

Equipped with HDMI port as well as DVI, D-SUB and multi-card reader slot, the Zeus 8000 260MS Delux supports 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 450 cd/m² brightness and 5ms response speed.

Samsung Electronics showcases the industry’s first 82-inch UD(Ultra Definition) LCD TV panel during SDI(Society for Information Display) 2008 in Los Angeles, USA, from May 18 to 23.

Supporting 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, this UD TV panel features 120Hz motion technology and LED backlight to raise true color saturation to 150 percent, based on the NISC standard of 100 percent.

In addition, Samsung introduces its multi-touch e-Board equipped with the 82-inch UD LCD panel as well as presents future display technologies such as 52-inch 3D display and e-Paper.
