Twenty-two New LCD TVs from Sharp

Sharp has unveiled no less than twenty-two new LCD TVs, the RX5 Series, GX5 Series, and DS5 Series.

RX5 Series: Available in 65″, 52″ and 46”, with a contrast ratio of 3300:1 and a “living contrast” ratio of 1500:1, providing in total a stunning contrast ratio of 20000:1, and a brightness of 450cd/m2. Our TV is full HD with a new 120Hz panel and 12bit BDE image processor.

GX5 Series: Available in full HD and HD ready with panel size ranging from 26” up to 52”. It also has the 120Hz ASV panel, a contrast ratio to 2000:1, and a brightness of 450cd/m2.

DS5 Series: Three full HD TVs, with sizes ranging from 32″ to 42”, it also features a 2000:1 contrast ratio and a 450cd/m2 brightness, without the 120Mhz panel.

Sharp and Yahoo! Japan has also joined forces with AQUOS.jp = Yahoo! Japan, where you can access a tuned Yahoo! page easily accessed with your TV.More information and pictures here

Sharp Unveils Two New 46” and 52” TVs

Yesterday Sharp unveiled two new LCD TVs, the TL-M4600 and the TL-M5200. These devices measure respectively 46’’ and 52’’ with a full two-megapixel 1920×1080 resolution. They also feature Sharp’s proprietary Advanced Super View (ASV) panel, 176 degree viewing angle, a contrast ratios of 1500:1 (TL-M4600) and 2000:1 (TL-M5200), and analog, DVI-D, and HDCP-compatible HDMI inputs.

Sharp Aquos D44E LCD TV Lineup Coming To UK

Sharp Aquos HD-ready models launching in the UK in the next few months. The Sharp Aquos D44E Series features the 37-inch LC-37D44E, the 32-inch LC-32D44E, and the 26-inch LC-26D44E all with the option of a new silver-grey color design.Key features include 720p resolution and 10000:1 contrast ratio on all models, and a luminance of 470-500 candelas per square meter ensuring brilliant colors. Optimal image control automatically adapts screen brightness to the lighting level in the room. Automatic sound control allows you to preset sound levels depending on the content you are viewing, and is pumped through 2 10W loundspeakers via a built-in digital amplifier.

Other key features include:
* 176 degree viewing angle
* 6ms response time
* Enhanced programme overview with image-split and image-in-text functions
* Freeze-frame function to keep a favourite scene on screen
* Built-in DVB-T and analogue tuner for all-round TV reception
* 2 SCART sockets and the HDMI inputs with HDCP support
* YUV, AV/S Video IN, VGA IN and Audio OUT sockets

The 26- and 32-inch models will be available later this month for 499 and 599 Pounds respectively in either black or silver-grey. The 37-inch model will be available in July in black only, with pricing still to be confirmed.

Sharp presents the Aquos audio AN-ACD2!

Sharp on Wednesday took the unusual direction of building a compact home theater in its AQUOS Audio lineup that doubles as a complete stand. The Aquos Audio AN-ACD2 produces 150W (2×25 + 100 from the subwoofer) and, with its generous width of 1141mm, can welcome your TV and a BluRay disc player in case you want to “complete the look”. Of course, HDMI is part of the deal.
