Sony also has added a new HDTV to its BRAVIA television range with the introduction of Z5500 LCD HDTV, which incorporates the Motionflow 200Hz and Image Blur Reduction technology. The Z5500 series is available in 40-inch, 46-inch and 52-inch models, all models features Sony’s BRAVIA engine 3 and comes with the AppliCast that lets you access an exciting range of online services without having to switch on your PC. The Z5500 is also DLNA certified, allowing it to be seamlessly networked via the built-in Ethernet port with other DLNA enabled devices within the home

Sony revealed two new 5.1-channel Blu-ray HTIB systems, the BDV-E300 and BDV-E500W. Both home theater systems support BD-Live-capable (Profile 2.0) Blu-ray player, BRAVIA Sync technology, and Sony’s Digital Media Port to easily control Apple’s iPod and Sony’s Walkman line. The Sony BDV-E500W features an integrated S-AIR wireless audio capabilities that allows you to place your rear speakers in the room wirelessly. The BDV-E300 Blu-ray HTIB and the BDV-E500W Blu-ray HTIB will be launched in June for around $600 and $800.

Sony Japan introduces two new Bravia LCD HDTVs, the W5 and F5. Both HDTVs feature a 240MHz Motion Flow panel (Except the 32F5 Model which only feature a 120MHz LCD panel) and a Felica / Edy e-Wallet reader on their remote control that allows users to make online payment for any VOD (Video On Demand) services in Japan. The Bravia W5 and F5 also adopt the Bravia Engine 3. The W5 Series are available from 40 inch to 52 inch with a Dual Digital TV Tuner, meanwhile the F5 Series are available from 32 inch to 46 inch with a single Digital TV Tuner.

Sony revealed 4 new lineup of BRAVIA Full HD LCD TV.

The first LCD series is the XR1, available in 55-Inch & 46-Inch featuring a RGB LED Back lighted panel (Triluminos LED Technology) with a resolution of 1,920×1,080 and provides a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 (up to 1,000,000:1 with a Dynamic Contrast Ratio) and a viewing angle of 178°.
The XR1 lineup is also equipped with the BRAVIA Engine 2 Pro, Motion Flow Pro (120Hz), Four HDMI input, as well as S-Video/Component/LAN/USB Interface.

The new Sony LCD TV achieve a better Image quality expanding the TV’s color range by aligning individual clusters of red, green and blue LEDs, significantly elevating color purity compared to traditional single white LED backlights.
This XR1 series will be available on October 10th for respectively 4675€ (KDL-55XR1) and 3750€( KDL-46XR1).

Then we had the W1 Series, available in 46-Inch and 40-Inch and feature the new Motion Flow 240Hz (offering an image-driving speed of 4x), a Full HD Panel, Digital Tuner TV, BRAVIA Engine 2, 24p True Cinema, as well as 3 HDMI input, and every I/O terminal you need: USB, LAN, S-Video, Component….
Our W1 series also provides a contrast Ratio of 3000:1 and a viewing angle of 178 degree.
Available on November for 2500€ (KDL-46W1) and 1800€ (KDL-40W1)

About the ZX1 Series, the world’s slimmest screen with a thickness of 9.9mm according to the Japanese manufacturer, is only available in 40-Inch with a Full HD Panel. It achieves a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, and a viewing angle of 178°, and features the Bravia 1080 Wireless Technology, the BRAVIA Engine 2, the Motion Flow 120Hz, 24pTrue Cinema.
Available on November for about 3000€ (KDL-40ZX1)

Lastly we had the X1 series, available in 52-Inch, 46-Inch, and 40-Inch, it features a Full HD Panel, the BRAVIA Engine 2 Pro, Digital Tuner TV, 24p True Cinema, three HDMI input and provides a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and a viewing angle of 178°

 Sony’s Latest Bravia HDTV X4500 Series

The Sony X4500 series is Sony’s latest top of the range flagship Bravia model. The X4500 series is available in 40″, 46″ and 55″ sizes. All X4500 models feature Sony’s latest Bravia Engine 2 that reduces noise, boosts colour ranges, smooth motion and the contrast for deep blacks. They also come with DRC 3.0 (Digital Reality Creation) with advanced up-conversion technology to provide amazing results on the 1080p screen by enhancing the amount of pixels from non-HD sources such as DVD and analog TV. Pretty cool function allowing smooth transition to Hi-Def, the fact that i still got most of my movies in DVD format. We still have no word on 40″ model price, but 46″ priced for $4999, and 55″ for $6999.

STR-DG Series: Sony Home Theater Systems Now Available

The new range includes 3 line-ups that fulfill a home theatre’s needs. From the entry level STR-DG520 and the midrange STR-DG720, all the new receivers support 1080p 24fps True Cinema, while the range-topping STR-DG820 brings Full HD audio capability to even more users thanks to its onboard Dolby True HD/dts Master Audio decoders. All three receivers also feature Digital Cinema Auto-Calibration for simple, accurate automatic set-up, Digital Cinema EX processing for more impressive surround effects and Sony’s DM Port for fast hook-up of portable and personal music players, WiFi networks and Bluetooth.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-32JE 32-Inch LCD TV

Sony has released a new series of BRAVIA TVs that reduce your power consumption to 89W. This JE1 Series uses fluorescent tubes that provide higher luminance efficiency at lower electric voltage with optical film that gives off a higher light transmission rate. The KDL-32JE1 features a 32-Inch LCD Panel in WXGA Resolution (1366×768 ), HDMI interface, Digital TV Tuner, and a contrast ratio of 2500:1 as well as a view angle of 178 degrees. The KDL-32JE is going for about 900€.

Sony announced to introduce their Sony BRAVIA M1 Premium Edition series in their Build in Tokyo (Ginza, Odaïba) and Osaka on June 13th.
About this series, you’ll have the choice between 20-inch and 16-inch LCDs in WXGA resolution (1366×768 ) with 1,200:1 or 1,800:1 (respectively) contrast ratios, 24p True Cinema 1080p-compatible HDMI inputs, Bravia Engine 2 image processing. Available in different colors.
