Dell has added a new multi-touch LCD monitor to its range by releasing the SX2210T. This 21.5-inch widescreen LCD supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and features 2ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 220 cd/m2 brightness and a 2-megapixel webcam. It also offers several connectivity ports including D-Sub, DVI and HDMI. The Dell SX2210T sells for $469
Mitsubishi Electric has recently displayed a huge 155-inch OLED TV at 2009 CEATEC in Japan. This giant OLED TV consists of 720 10-centimeter-square OLED blocks that can be rearranged to change the dimensions of the display. The screen is also three times brighter than regular LCD TVs.
This 23-inch widescreen monitor is finally making its way to US market starting on October 12th. In case you’ve forgotten, the XL2370 offers a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 2ms response time, 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 160/170 degress viewing angle and an HDMI output. The Samsung XL2370 will be sold for a retail price of $299.
Samsung rolled out their latest 55-inch Full HD 3D LCD panel at the IMID expo in South Korea. This newly developed 3D LCD panel provides a 240Hz refresh rate that allows the content to seem more natural, vibrant and create no ghosting as compared to lower 120Hz 3D TVs. Sadly, there is no info on pricing or availability
Also Vizio announced today the new XVT, M- and E series LCD HDTVs. In total, there are 31 new HDTV models in these three product ranges. The new XVT series includes both 1080p models with 120Hz and a Thin Line stylish designs; and a 240Hz SPS models with Smooth Motion technology. This series will be available in 32-inch to 55-inch screen sizes.
Vizio’s M series will come with the JAVA design, 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution. The eco E-series will come in 19-inch to 32-inch screen sizes. It will have stylish white or black piano colored bezels and offer 1080p Full HD resolution.
NEC announced the new MultiSync LCD2490WUXi2 and LCD2490W2-BK-SV LCD displays designed for high-end applications. Based on IPS LCD panel, these two displays are new members of the MultiSync 90 Series and SpectraViewII Series respectively. The latter includes the SpectraViewII Color Calibration Solution.
Both MultiSync LCDs feature 1920×1200 Full HD resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 320cd/m2 brightness and 96.7% coverage of sRGB. LCD2490WUXi2 and LCD2490W2-BK-SV are priced at $1099 and 1299 respectively.
NEC announced in Japan the CRV43, a curved LCD monitor display, designed for use in applications such as professional graphics, higher education, government, financial, command & control and home office.The curved monitor is finally on the market for a hefty $8,000 price tag. The seamless display features 4 DLP monitors sewn together for a high-end gaming session. The CRVD-42DWX boasts a contrast ratio of 10000:1 with double WXGA+ 2880 x 900 panel and a response time of 0.02 seconds.
Sony also has added a new HDTV to its BRAVIA television range with the introduction of Z5500 LCD HDTV, which incorporates the Motionflow 200Hz and Image Blur Reduction technology. The Z5500 series is available in 40-inch, 46-inch and 52-inch models, all models features Sony’s BRAVIA engine 3 and comes with the AppliCast that lets you access an exciting range of online services without having to switch on your PC. The Z5500 is also DLNA certified, allowing it to be seamlessly networked via the built-in Ethernet port with other DLNA enabled devices within the home
Samsung has recently introduced its latest Full HD 850 PAVV, a 50-inch PDP (Plasma) “Finger Slim” with a thickness of only 29mm. The Plasma TV also uses 40% more power efficient and 20% lighter (26kg) than its predecessor. The new 850 PAVV 50-inch PDP TV features Samsung’s Full HD Crystal Engine, DLNA Support, “USB 2.0 Videos” giving you the possibility to watch DivX videos, photos, or play your MP3 directly from an external HDD or USB thumb key to your TV.
Samsung just released three new 240Hz LED TVs. Known as the PAVV 8000, 7000 and 6000 series, these TVs are compatible with YouTube, DLNA, and USB 2.0 port to display both photos and DviX videos from USB flash drives. The Samsung PAVV 8000 series will be available in 46- and 55-inch and will be released in May in the USA, Europe and Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, the specs for the PAVV 7000 and 6000 series are still unavailable
